Advert text Lawrence View primary School are looking for a new cook supervisor to join our successful and well-established team providing primary education for 3-11 year olds. As cook supervisor you will be joining us on our new venture of in house catering for all our children. You will be expected to work alongside all staff and children to establish a well run kitchen which provides balanced nutritious meals which fulfils all necessary quality, hygiene and safety standards.OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen eye for detail. This position would particularly suit someone who has catering experience who is seeking a term-time only position.Please read all the details below to know how to apply for this job.Duties- Prepare and cook meals (including creating healthy menus to appeal to children and their parents)- Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and meets quality standards- Oversee the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently and to a high standard- Oversee the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organised kitchen- Monitor food supplies and place orders- Follow food safety guidelines at all timesRequirements- Previous catering experience working in a kitchen- Knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices- Ability to lead a team and work well in a team environment- Understanding of food safety regulations- Willingness to help with various kitchen tasks when neededClosing date: 23rd September 2024
