This position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with practice experience to transition into the financial services industry. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including external statutory reporting and regulatory reporting, such as quarterly returns and ICARA (previous experience in this area is not required).


Additionally, the role will involve various ad hoc projects, including system work and the integration of a global new ERP system.

What will I be doing?

  • Financial management of the corporate entities including UK corporate and international entities
  • Integrate multiple data source monthly reporting (including outsource provider) to single system
  • Review and oversight of work undertaken by the assistant accountant; and peer review of work undertaken by Corporate Accountants
  • Assist with planning and preparation/review of year-end statutory accounts and audit
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting to international governing bodies (FCA, SEC etc.)
  • Prepare and assist with the regulatory filings including quarterly FCA filing and annual ICARA process
  • Monitor capital and liquidity adequacy at all times in all regulated entities
  • Adhere to governance and financial control processes including review and update of finance policies and procedures
  • Respond to tax team queries in a timely manner to assist with the year-end tax process
  • Maintain current and relevant systems including continuous improvement of processes and systems

What Do I Need To Apply?

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred)
  • At least 3 years of working in an audit or accounting practice
  • Prior experience of working with FCA or SEC regulated businesses
  • Advanced-level Excel skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
  • Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
