The Firm
Wiseman Consulting is supporting one of our best clients in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, to recruit a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor for their growing team in the town centre. This position comes after a successful period of recruitment in 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor from 3+ PQE to work alongside a highly experienced Director in the Corporate department.
Our client is a personal & commercial law firm with over 60 members of staff working from their Cheltenham office. They have excellent experience in the Conveyancing, Family, Corporate, Commercial and Private Client sectors.
The firm has a big focus on charitable initiatives and is focused on providing excellent work and culture for its employees.
The Role
We are searching for a Corporate and Commercial Solicitor with at least 3+ PQE to join the team in Cheltenham.
The Corporate & Commercial team mainly act for owner-managed businesses and corporate transactions ranging from £500K to £25M. 20% of the work is in Commercial Contracts, so a 50/50 Corporate & Commercial Solicitor or a Corporate Solicitor with experience in Commercial Contracts is needed.
The role is split between technical corporate work and the expansion of the department, working closely with the director to develop your matter list, getting involved in broader business development activities, and providing assistance and support to junior staff members.
Work includes.
- Corporate Law (including partnerships, LLPs, agreements, articles of association and commercial contracts)
- Ability to draft high-quality legal documentation.
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Investment Agreements
- Shareholder Agreements and Joint Ventures
- Due Diligence
