Job Description

We are working with a notable International firm in their search for a transactional lawyer to work across a range of corporate, commercial and projects matters across the energy, logistics and shipping sectors.

Due to an increase in workflow, the firm is looking to secure a candidate on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. Whilst the initial contract is for 6 months, there is potential for the role to be extended further or become permanent, should this be desirable for both parties.

The successful candidate will be working alongside three leading Partners within the market and will have a varied caseload.

Candidates can expect to work across a range of corporate, projects and commercial matters to include advising on:

  • Acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures in the energy, logistics and shipping sectors
  • Reviewing, drafting and commenting on transaction documents to include share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, joint ventures
  • Due diligence and general corporate advisory work
  • Advising on international, high value projects and reviewing, drafting and commenting on key transaction documents to include concession and long-term licence agreements for development, construction, operation and management of shipping and energy facilities
  • Advising on a variety of commercial contracts relating to the energy, logistics and shipping sectors

Successful candidates are likely to be qualified in England & Wales and possess upwards of 3 years’ PQE in advising on a range of corporate, commercial and projects matters. Exposure to advising on matters for clients within the energy, logistics and shipping sectors would be desirable, but is not essential.

Due to the nature of the requirement, candidates should ideally be available immediately or at short notice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded international firm for a period of 6 months, or potentially longer.
