Job Description

My client, a leading global advisory and insurance firm, is seeking to hire a Corporate Communications Manager for their prestigious group function. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with strong writing skills and will have the opportunity to lead media relations engagements and contribute to sustainability and financial reports for the group. This fully remote role offers occasional travel to their London office, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking added flexibility.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, you will:

  • Build and nurture relationships with target media, curate media lists, and stay abreast of industry trends for comprehensive coverage.

  • Lead crisis, reputation, and issues management efforts to protect and enhance the Group’s reputation, ensuring effective communication and swift response to emerging situations.

  • Develop and execute communication strategies for M&A, financial results, and corporate announcements, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage the Group’s strategic narrative and visual brand across all channels, providing stakeholders with accurate, high-quality information.

  • Maintain a suite of brand collateral to effectively communicate the Group's vision and priorities to key audiences, including employees, clients, and investors.

  • Collaborate with communications, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure business activities align with the Group’s communication strategy, managing press inquiries and business issues.

  • Lead the organisation’s corporate website and social media accounts, handling updates and designing content strategies.

  • Deliver communications strategy for the Group’s Sustainability charter, advising stakeholders on ESG-related communications.

  • Support Group employee and charity events with impactful copywriting and communication campaigns.

The ideal candidate:

  • Good PR and corporate communications experience in a regulated industry (ideally financial or professional services), understanding financial reporting, FCA regulations, M&A processes, and public bond communications.

  • High commercial awareness and maintaining knowledge of the UK business and political landscape and its impact on the business and its stakeholders.

  • Strong crisis management skills, able to prioritize, advise, and lead effectively during emergencies.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, effective across various audiences.
