This deep expertise is reflected in the firms Chambers and Legal 500 top-tier bandings in Energy both for multiple individual partners and the practice as an whole.They advise on a wide range of transactions within the energy and resources sector, from upstream oil and gas M&A, upstream and LNG projects, downstream transactions, commercial and supply chain contracts, licences and concessions, joint operating agreements and joint ventures, off-take and sales agreements, and now transactional activity in energy transition technologies including offshore and onshore wind, hydrogen and ammonia projects, LNG, energy storage, solar, electric vehicles, carbon capture and storage. They continue to act on multi-billion dollar cross-border landmark transactions and high value projects and assets for world-leading international integrated energy companies.Working alongside a highly experienced and specialised team, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the legal, industry and commercial arrangements across the energy sector and become a subject matter expert. The M&A focused role will offer you exposure to the full spectrum of areas in this sector, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and restructuring work.The Ideal Candidate

  • solid experience gained in private practice and/or in-house within the UK or other common law jurisdiction
  • excellent black letter law skills
  • experience drafting and negotiating M&A transactions in the sector
