The role

You will be responsible for working independently and managing your own caseload and also operating as part of a close-knit team, when working on transactional matters. We are looking for a strong team player who will operate proactively across our business. We receive work from a variety of sources including repeat work from existing clients and professional contacts. Excellent client care skills are required.

The role will cover all aspects of work within the Corporate team, including corporate finance, M&A, private equity, corporate reorganisations, corporate governance and employee share schemes.

Required experience, skills and attributes

The successful candidate for this role will be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE with demonstrable recent development work experience.

The main attributes we look for, but are not limited to, are:

  • Proactive in terms of managing your workload and continual development of your own legal skills.
  • Possessing excellent organisation skills and having exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to meet targets on a consistent basis.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work and build relationships with both clients and the wider professional community.
  • Being able to manage projects, lead teams and supervise the work of junior colleagues.
  • Having an aptitude to develop your own career, the Corporate department and the wider firm.

An existing professional network would be beneficial but is not necessary. Many opportunities will be provided for Business Development.
