SharkNinja prides itself on affordable product innovation, ease of use, and a" hyper" focus on the consumer. The successful candidate will have an interest in product development, be curious about how things are made, and want to know the lowest cost a product can be made for. The individual will work closely with the AD and NPD teams to define the lowest possible cost to make any given product.Here are some of the exciting things you'll get to do: Support getting a complete product definition createdCoordinate product details to generate a ballpark cost during the AD phaseGenerate a should be cost that reflects the latest product definition and update at each Prototype buildReview CBOM’s from suppliersDeliver reports or summary PowerPoint slides and share with the teams on where the cost isReview all should be costs for accuracyGenerate a critical components list to work with supply chain to get quotesOffer suggestions to the product teams on ways to design for lowest costWork with product teams to generate a tear down of competitive products to learn about materials, components, assembly methods and how key features workPrepare weekly updates on projects and participate in regular calls with the China cost teamParticipate in product reviews and hacksTearing down, debugging, and analyzing electro-mechanical products Here are some of the things you'll bring: BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering3+ years experience in an engineering-related field preferably product developmentKnowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes such as injection moldingExperience in consumer products or similar high-volume production situationsDemonstratable analytical organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and relentless drive to identify the lowest possible cost of a productStrong MS Excel skillsKnowledge of plastics, tooling, electronics, assembly methods, decoration processes, and packagingFlexible, nimble, and working in an extremely fast-paced collaborative environmentIntermediate skills in Solidworks or CREOPresentation skills, delivering clear summaries, takeaways, and opportunities #LI-HYBRID #LI-WH1 At SharkNinja, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are vital to our global success.
