Costs Draftsman - Greater Manchester - Up to £40,000 - REF 607268RR
The Role
This is a superb opportunity to join a leading Top 100 UK law firm specialising in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s Costs team, they are now seeking to appoint a Costs Draftsman to work alongside its existing team to assist in driving forward a resilient and varied legal practice.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years experience as a Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer ideally handling a range of Personal Injury matters including drafting bills of costs and negotiating costs. You will have excellent knowledge of costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
The Candidate
- Costs Lawyer with at least 3 years experience is essential
- Excellent knowledge of costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules
- Experience of drafting bills of costs, Replies, Points of Dispute and Costs Budgets
- Ability to deal with third party solicitors and insurers daily
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent client client skills
- Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts
