ROLE: Costs Lawyer / Costs Draftsman (Part - Time)

LOCATION: Any Sills & Betteridge office or home working considered

SALARY: Competitive and based on level and experience

HOURS: 2 days per week

We are seeking a skilled Costs Lawyer / Costs Draftsman with expertise in clinical negligence and personal injury cost drafting. This part-time role offers flexibility in work location, allowing you to work from any of our offices in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the East Midlands, or even from the comfort of your home. If you are experienced in these areas and ready to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Drafting bills of costs in clinical negligence and personal injury matters
  • Providing technical advice and supervision
  • Reviewing files to ensure accurate time recording
  • Assisting with billing and administrative tasks
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professionals to ensure effective management of costs related matters

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and procedural rules
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
  • Outstanding time management, organisational and IT skills
