<div><p><strong>Job title: Court of Protection Solicitor </strong><br/><strong>Location: Southampton</strong><br/><strong>Salary: £60-£68k - depending on experience</strong><br/><strong>PQE Level: 3+</strong><br/><strong>Contract Type: Permanent</strong><br/><strong>Working Hours: Full-time</strong></p><p>My client is a <strong>Legal 500 law firm</strong> currently looking for a <strong>Court of Protection Solicitor </strong>to join their <strong>Tax & Estate Planning</strong> team based in <strong>Southampton</strong> on a hybrid basis. The Tax & Estate Planning team manage affairs, assets, and estates of anyone who does not have the capacity to manage their own finances including <strong>deputyship, gifts, enduring and lasting powers of attorney and replacing deputyship with private trusts, alongside the general management of property and affairs</strong>.</p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own case load of trusts and personal tax clients as well as providing support to fee earners within the team. <strong>Advising trustees, preparing annual trust accounts, attending trustee meetings, calculating available income within trusts and estates for distribution, day-to-day trust administration of UK resident trusts, preparing annual trust tax returns and much more can be expected in this crucial role.</strong></p><p>Alongside the firms reputation for integrity and innovation, they are also known for their commitment to charitable functions, supporting the local community, and on-going support given to local businesses.
