Job description Cover supervisor – Bury – September start We are working with a ‘good’ secondary school in Bury, who are recruiting for a cover supervisor to support them with their day to day cover in the next academic year. The role will start in September and will continue until May when the year 11 students go on study leave. They would like all their short term cover (up to three days absence) to be carried out by enthusiastic, lively graduates, (ideally in a curriculum subject) who have a genuine interest in education. During the course of the academic year, absence periods can be high (seasonal colds, staff courses, etc) and there is the opportunity for lots of regular work in this school. Cover Supervisor work provides a great platform for graduates both with practical experience, and also knowledge to create attractive, engaging personal statements and applications. And don’t worry about all that our process is really easy, and our consultants are more than happy to help you with your applications to QTS courses when the time is right. Location Bury Position Ad-hoc Cover Supervisor Start date September 2024 Duration Ongoing day to day work Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay GBP100 per day Hours 8:30 am 4 pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree educated with a good classification, ideally with a curriculum subject Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, we can provide training) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references
