Job Description

Job Title: Cover Teacher Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham Job Type: Contract, expected to work full-time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £120 - £140 per day Job Duties: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the regular teacher Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a conducive learning environment Provide support and assistance to students in their learning activities Ensure all work set is completed by students and manage any behaviour issues effectively Report back on the day's activities and any issues encountered to the appropriate staff Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments Strong classroom management skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Previous experience in a teaching role preferred Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of the UK education system Ability to engage and motivate students Excellent organisational skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Experience working with children and young people Working Conditions: This role involves working in a school setting with students of various ages. The working hours are typically during school hours. The role may involve occasional additional responsibilities as required by the school.
