We’re looking for a Creative Director to help shape and build a digital-first data and content agency in London. Initially the focus will be to serve a global, multi-million-pound client with the clear objective to add additional clients over time. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and highly experienced start-up team without any legacy business constraints.

Looping Group represent a new breed of companies embracing digital, data analytics, and content to help brands succeed in today’s always-on consumer-led editorial society. We are an independent, tech-enabled comms agency built to the requirements of the modern world.

In this world, attention has become extremely scarce. To win attention, brands must now combine the art and science of storytelling. We put this at the heart of our product and service offering, uniquely combining the two to create content that commands attention, engages customers, and drives tangible business results. 

Founded just four years ago by journalists, creatives and producers, we have already established ourselves as a leader in data-driven storytelling, working with an impressive roster of brands including Mercedes Benz, Allianz, Deutsche Telekom, Sooner, and the Human Vaccines Project. Our team consists of over 120 multi-skilled staff split between offices in Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich. 

We partner with clients across three core capabilities:

  • Looping Intelligence is our strategic, data and analytics service.
  • Looping PowerRoom is our content marketing, PR and production offering.
  • Looping Media is our publishing house.
  • Looping Studios is our production unit which provides efficient and scalable global production services for branded content across media formats.

THE ROLE

The Creative Director role will be multi-faceted and evolve with the agency, but ultimately, we are looking for someone to build, manage and inspire a world-class creative team that produces transformative work for clients.

In addition, as a member of the leadership team, we are looking for someone to be part of defining Looping London’s broader proposition and direction; raise its profile; pitch for new business; and establish itself as a highly respected, award winning agency.

The immediate client requirement is to get immersed into their business and brand and re-work their social strategy and creative direction; and in parallel, constructing Looping’s local creative department to deliver against that vision. The client scope includes a mixture of live event capture, planned campaigns, always-on content, reactive opportunities and influencer/partnership activations across multiple brand channels and all major social platforms. Whilst building your team, you will also need to flex your creative muscles on high-profile projects that will establish your role and set the expectation for the work your team will deliver.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the delivery of best-in-class creative campaigns, content and outputs
  • Consult with clients to evolve their thinking and embrace brave new concepts
  • Help establish strong client partnerships by playing an active role in key client briefings, presentations, reviews and events
  • Identify new ways of working and team structures to aid agility, quality of output and precision
  • Champion high-level story and visual craft, from presentation deck through to final output
  • Select, hire and nurture a diverse team of creatives
  • Provide clear, concise and motivational creative direction internally and externally
  • Present ideas, work and thought leadership persuasively to all audiences
  • Provide thought leadership through sharing of inspirational campaigns, production partners, thought pieces and digital / social platform developments internally and with clients 
  • Help build productive relationships and processes across the business and wider all agency team that drive results and our own business success
  • Create a welcoming, fun, diverse and inclusive agency culture

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of creative work experience
  • An enthusiastic creative leader with hunger to put their stamp on a new agency and the wider industry
  • Deep expertise and a high degree of passion for content and social marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of deploying successful campaigns on all major social media platforms
  • A relentless drive to produce best-in-class, award-winning and impactful creative work
  • A track record for creating highly engaging global campaigns
  • A grounded and flexible approach, with the willingness to produce creative work; be involved in non-creative work streams; as well as providing the agency leadership functions of the role
  • Ability to strive in an entrepreneurial, start-up agency environment
  • An empathetic approach with ability to hear, inspire and influence others
  • An extensive ‘black book’ of trusted permanent and freelance contacts
  • A roster of trust-based client relationships preferable
  • Automotive and / or luxury marketing preferable
