Creative Director

Reports to Executive Vice President, Sci Comms Centre

Job Summary

Creative Director leads and shapes OPEN Health’s Creative Services function. Combining impeccable conception and design with strong team and client leadership skills, they ensure the team delivers head turning creative outputs across multiple media and continuously adapt to meet evolving business needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leading and shaping OPEN Health’s Creative Services function
  • Driving superb conceptual and design skills across all media
  • Driving development, implementation and adherence to quality standards, best practices, processes and procedures
  • Ensuring team adherence to all external laws, policies and guidelines
  • Creative workflow and resource planning in conjunction with other departments and external partners
  • Addressing short- and long-term resource needs through acquisition and mobilisation of staff and contractors
  • Driving recruitment initiatives to ensure optimal team structure and complement
  • Carrying out due diligence to expand our network of creative partners to supplement our internal team
  • Building and maintaining up to date knowledge of the healthcare market creative trends and innovations and sharing/leveraging insights to support business needs and growth
  • Upskilling our internal teams to ensure we deliver content in a creative and innovative way without exception, and are able to take and give creative briefs
  • Providing creative consultancy services and training internal colleagues and external stakeholders on the latest trends in content packaging, effective presentations and storytelling
  • Seeking opportunities to enhance OPEN Health’s external profile in the creative space by developing Thought Leadership pieces and presenting at congresses
  • Leadership of assigned creative initiatives

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with an extensive creative portfolio
  • Significant prior experience leading a team of creatives in medical communications or healthcare advertising, with proven ability to foster a supportive, collaborative, continuous improvement environment
  • Proven experience in delivering, and training teams to deliver, head turning creative outputs across all media
  • An ability to stay abreast and share knowledge of new technologies
