What the job does:

We are looking for an inspiring Creative Store Design Manager who will be designing projects across Europe, Australia and Middle East regions. This involves producing design packs from initial creative concept to store opening, working closely alongside our Store Design Project Manager. This role includes designing exceptional Charlotte Tilbury customer experience within budget, schedule and adhering to the operational requirements of the store.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement Charlotte Tilbury’s brand codes across all Store Design elements, expressing the strength of the brand aesthetically and commercially. Prepare floor plans, Shopfront elevations, and manage rendering to support new distribution across different markets.
  • You will be required to manage various processes across the design stage from creating the best layouts, maximising brand expression in a new store, monitoring creative development, technical drawings & approvals.
  • You will be implementing Global Store Design’s brand codes within our store environments. Working closely with Global Store Design ensuring the designs are signed off from a brand perspective within allotted project timeframe.
  • You will work closely with the Store Design Project Manager to ensure budgets & opening schedule are adhered to.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing design pack for internal approval and external / retailers sign off process guidelines.
  • Organize, update & archive all project documentation.
  • Communicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills; understand and tailor presentations to the audience.
  • Review & approve manufacturing drawings for design integrity and safety standards for assigned projects.
  • Identify & propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedules, cost or design integrity on multiple projects.
  • Attend manufacturing & installation of store fit outs, monitoring standards & snagging issues
  • Ensure design standards and concepts are maintained in all architectural details.
  • Perform material and detail research with suppliers and consultants for architectural store design elements with consideration to construction standards, maintenance, operations, and procurement needs.

Some attributes we are looking for:

  • Proficient sketching and rendering skills to communicate ideas.
  • Excellent ability to think spatially and visually, understand flow and proportion of spaces as well as form and function of fixtures, and translate ideas into cohesive design concepts based on own understanding as well as the needs, requests of related business partners.
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Vectorworks and SketchUp proficiency required. Adobe Creative Suite experience strongly rereferred. 3D rendering a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of accessibility and building codes a must.
  • Awareness of design trends and materials and understanding of basic construction required.
  • Decisive problem-solving skills with regards to construction materials and methods a must.
  • Excellent project planning and time management skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and with team. Ability to work collaboratively and drive team success
  • Exceptional eye for detail and great vision on how to use spaces and commercial opportunities
  • Skilled in the visual, written and verbal communication of design issues
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to balance design, with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments and customer experience
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
