Credit Risk Analyst (Maternity Cover) Salary: Circa £33,000 per annum Hours: Full time - 35 hours Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover Location: Hybrid(Head Office, West Bromwich) The West Brom are looking to recruit aCredit Risk Analyst on a 12 month Maternity Cover to join our Credit Risk team.The role holder willSupport the Societys lending objectives through the provision of insightful analytics around the Societys Credit Risk exposures as directed. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the development of Credit Risk models and scorecards supporting operational decisions, such as new lending scorecards and affordability models. Undertake meaningful analysis, as directed, on mortgage data from both Society and external sources that can be used to support decision making in relation to lending activities. Support the presentation of analysis and models to Credit and Risk committees for approval. Support the production of information for the Board, Risk Committee, other governance committees and external parties (notably PRA/FCA) in relation to the Societys Credit Risk exposures. Undertake monitoring of scorecards and models to ensure these are performing within tolerances. Escalate any issues identified so that corrective action may be taken. Carry out ad-hoc credit risk analysis and report writing as directed. Support the evolution of the Societys Data Mart by identifying requirements and participating in the ongoing development and testing process. Identify and manage Risk within area of responsibility. Skills and Experience Required: Highly numerate and analytical Exposure to data mining or statistical software preferred (i.e. SAS, or equivalent) Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of the Credit Risk lifecycle preferred, ideally relating to mortgages Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging to suit audience Highly organised and able to meet tight deadlines, prioritising where required High level of attention to detail enabling the production of analyses with a consistently high degree of accuracy Whats in it for you?
