Role Overview

As a Credit Risk Analyst within our Unsecured Loans Team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our credit risk strategies. You will delve into data to uncover insights, develop effective underwriting strategies, and ensure responsible lending through robust affordability models. Your mission is to make data-driven decisions that enhance our credit risk management while supporting the growth of our lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed credit risk analysis to inform decision-making processes.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of innovative underwriting strategies.
  • Help create and refine affordability models to ensure responsible lending practices.
  • Participate in exploring and integrating new data sources to enhance credit risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at delivering impactful credit risk changes, ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Provide analytical support for new product developments and portfolio management.
  • Work as part of a team while being able to handle tasks independently when required.

Key Requirements

  • Analytical experience, preferably within financial services or lending.
  • Experience in using SQL, Python, or other analytical coding languages to extract and manipulate data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Prior credit risk experience is ideal, but comprehensive training will be provided.
