Job Description
My client is a top tier asset manager with a £30Bn private debt portfolio. They are looking to hire a Credit Risk Director to take 1st line oversight of a portfolio of private debt, structured finance, and high yield mid-market loans.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leveraged finance, ABS, and private debt, as well as a solid understanding of ratings. The role reports directly to the Head of Credit and will be responsible for providing oversight of newly originated transactions, as well as monitoring the existing portfolio.
In addition, the role will require you to support the business by advising on deal structures, applying ratings, and providing written credit risk opinions on all new private debt assets that are presented to the investment committee.
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Analysing private debt / structured finance in an asset management, FI, or rating agency setting
- Experience in assessing HY corporate credit risk
- Some experience of dealing with problem credits
- Strong knowledge of rating methodology and how it's applied across different investments
