Scale Lane are hiring a criminal duty solicitor for a remarkable, Top Tier Legal 500 firm with close to 150 highly skilled professionals offering exceptional expertise from over half a dozen sites across London. This leading, full-service firm is the natural option for quality clients across their local area and beyond, has very little real competition over a huge part of London, and is envied for their vast and loyal clientele. They are now looking for a criminal duty solicitor to join their firm as they further expand.
Duties & Requirements
· Police Station Accreditation is essential
· You will join the firm’s respected criminal defence team based from one of their East London offices
· Attend police stations during normal working hours as well as part of an out of hours rota
· Assist senior fee earners at courts and meetings with clients and counsel, take witness statements, undertake research, analyse information and evidence, and manage documents, among others
· Successfully engage with clients and third parties at all levels and from all backgrounds
· Solid, up to date knowledge of criminal law and procedure
