Job Description

We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for Band 5 nurses with a passion for critical care nursing the opportunity to join us at The Royal London Hospital on the Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU). We are particularly interested to hear from applicants with acute care experience, however nurses with limited experience and from other clinical backgrounds will be supported to develop in the role.

As the UK's largest trauma centre The Royal London Hospital is a leading specialist centre with an international reputation for caring for some of the most seriously injured patients in London and beyond. In addition to trauma ACCU also provides specialist care in neurosciences, acute general medical, surgical, and obstetric services.

Main duties of the job

You will be working within a highly skilled, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, in our busy and energetic 44 bedded ACCU and our 12 bedded complex elective Surgical HDU. This is an excellent opportunity for energetic, enthusiastic staff nurses with at least 6 months acute experience, to provide a high standard of care to patients within a challenging, yet supportive acute hospital setting.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementationand evaluation of individualised, holistic patient care in conjunction with themulti-disciplinary team. The post holder provides care to critically ill patients with supervision and support of senior staff in this area of specialist practice.
