You will be working within residential settings that support children and young people, developing their life skills to better equip them for their futures! - Working alongside a team of experienced support staff you will display empathy, patience and understanding of the resident's needs. As part of your daily role, you will: Display a commitment to teamwork to ensure that the service is running safely and efficiently. Develop professional relationships with the residents to keep them engaged and active. Handle challenging situations in a calm and effective manner. Provide emotional support as and when required. Engage in activities with the residents You will be working 2-3 shifts per week with hours between 08:30 to 22:00. To be suitable for this role, you will need: A full and up-to-date CV NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in Residential Childcare A Enhanced DBS issued within the past 6 months or registered on the update service (The DBS must contain checks against the Children's Barred List information") Valid mandatory training certificates (ie. safeguarding vulnerable children etc) A minimum of 3 months referenceable experience working within a residential childcare supported-living service. *Please note that if you do not have up-to-date mandatory training certificate or DBS certificate, we can assist you with this. You will be paid between £12.00 to £12.50 per hour, depending on the days worked. The role may present permanent opportunities based upon performance over 12 weeks.
