Job Description

A busy fast paced and interesting company that deal with some of the world’s leading brands are looking for a passionate, bright, and switched-on Account Manager to join their team. You’ll be based in the office in Harpenden, which is in one of the industrial business centres; therefore, your own transport would be advantageous; free parking is offered. You will be working in a friendly and buzzy office which is open plan and offers a relaxed environment. They offer excellent training and supportive environment. You will be managing and growing your customer relationships to provide a premium service to all internal and external clients. You will liaise closely with customers, ensure that briefs are recorded and actioned accurately, as well as source and quote customer requirements using an internal database. This role will suit a candidate with 3 years + experience in a similar role or a graduate looking to kick start their career. What’s in it for you:Salary: £25k-30kHours: Monday to Friday 9-5.30· 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays· Pension· Free on-site parking· People – you’ll be joining a dedicated, hard-working, and enthusiastic team· Company ethos – open, friendly, fun, and rewardingKey Responsibilities· Responsible for managing client accounts, liaising with BDM and Directors · Process sales enquiries by sourcing and quoting on items requested from clients via telephone, email, and members of the sales team· Exporting and importing goods to and from various countries, including the UK· Place orders and manage the production and delivery of goods for clients, suppliers, and internal orders, ensuring deadlines are met· Maintain customer and suppliers’ relationships · Place supplier orders – raising accurate paperwork with specific production instructions and schedules always taking client requirements and schedules into consideration· Manage shipments and deliveries to a given delivery, packing and palletisation criteria provided by clients· Producing and updating production schedules, internal orders and reports as and when required· Liaising with the Warehouse Manager and Production Managers for stock management, delivery schedules, stocktaking and any technical or production queriesWhat the client is looking for;· 3 years + Account Management or Sales Administration experience · We will also consider candidates from retail or just out of university looking for their first office role· Educated to GCSE standard, including English and Maths · Strong negotiation skills · Strong verbal and written communication· Commitment to providing excellent customer service· Good understanding of software packages; word, excel, internet and email· An excellent and effective team player· Enthusiastic, with a positive and pro-active attitude· Strong work ethic with proven track record· An excellent eye for detail· Methodical and organised approach to all work tasks· Recognise and meet deadlines.· Good problem solver
