Job Description

Servomex, the global leader in gas analysis and part of the FTSE 250 Spectris Group, is recruiting for a Customer Service Representative to join our Hummingbird business unit. Our Hummingbird sensors power devices across the global industrial and medical markets, from critical care ventilators and anaesthesia delivery systems to process gas analysis and continuous emissions monitoring.

As part of our dedicated Hummingbird team, the successful candidate will have global responsibility for all sales administration activities supporting the account management team to maximise Hummingbird’s on-time delivery and customer satisfaction performance.


About the Opportunity:


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • To schedule order entry into the SAP MRP system, ensuring compliance to customer request date, accuracy of order information and timely completion ensuring all parties are informed directly as required.
  • To maintain Hummingbird customer master data in SAP and ensure all Hummingbird transactions comply with Servomex export compliance procedures / requirements.
  • Own and maintain the relevant Hummingbird commercial processes within the Servomex Quality Management System.
  • To complete the daily material stock management, picking and customer order fulfilment activities ensuring material availability to the packing department is aligned with the customer required.
  • Management of off-site and customer strategic stock requirements to optimise delivery performance.
  • Liaise with global 3rd party freight forwarders to maximise Hummingbird on-time delivery performance.
  • Manage the administration of the Hummingbird CFS process - material management, record keeping in SFDC & SAP, final material disposition, credit, and closure to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • To collate and report essential Hummingbird daily data performance indicators. These will include on-time delivery performance, key returned product investigation metrics, collation of root cause data and where required lead process improvement projects.
  • To keep OEM customers informed of order status and proactively issue formal notifications regarding any delays.
  • To liaise closely with manufacturing in preparing the monthly and quarterly Hummingbird invoicing forecast from the SAP order book and to attend formal Hummingbird management forecasting meetings.
  • To administer the Hummingbird legal documentation process, ensuring documents in progress are expedited and final documents are appropriately archived.
  • Management of the ongoing day-to-day regional customer credit vs receivables status
  • To deal with orders and customer communications in an efficient and timely manner, including the logging, distribution, filing and archiving of incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • To ensure adherence to the consolidated product price book and assist the global account management team with project quotations.



About Your Talent:



Essential Skills and Experience:


  • Proven experience in Customer Service in a technical sales environment of an international nature.
  • Competence in MS Office suite, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experienced in using a CRM (SFDC advantageous) and SAP.
  • Organised self-starter with good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, but within a larger team structure.
  • Good time management skills with experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills – ability to build good business relationships.
