Due to an increase in our activities, we are looking for new talent to join our Quality team in Silchester, UK.

POSITION SUMMARY

The candidate will provide full component engineering expertise and support to International Design and In service teams. She/He will lead technical analysis to support customers (internal or external) and solve technical issues.

She/He will support RMA’s (Under and out of warranty)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Component Engineering Scope:

  • BOM gate review
  • supplier PDN / PCN notification management (receive notifications, create ticket, inform engineering/OPL, update Maestro QA#3486)
  • Obsolescence resolution (evaluate impact, analyse alternatives, propose LTB)
  • counterfeit prevention (report analysis, training)
  • export control (component classification, change management) + Item status management
  • customer reporting (OMP, OCPL, obsolescence notifications, component kit sales…)
  • component selection support to engineering / New component validation screening (Redmine http://ces-redmine.ces.ch/projects/new-component-creation)

In Service Support:

  • First point of Contact/interface for customer RMA’s
  • Drive and manage RMA’s with appropriated Quality teams
  • Establish Support Documents required by the projects
  • Key technical expert on legacy products
  • Prepare procedure when rework is needed at customer site

Support to Production:

  • Support production test technicians on problems encountered when testing products.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to support yield reduction.

Root Cause Analysis:

  • Carry out inspection and troubleshooting of defective used product or subparts that have been kept for further analysis.
  • Synchronize root cause analysis activities with methods or engineering (8D and problem solving)
  • Feedback loop to Engineering for Lessons learnt process.
  • Participate to the Quality Clinic for customer issues and RMA in service

KPI responsibility: In service

  • Customer claims (Escape, Deviations, etc..)
  • Customer audit score
  • RMA’s (in and out of warranty)
  • Quote profitability support/contributor

SKILLS/EDUCATION

  • University degree in science or Engineering (BA/BS) or higher.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Electronics manufacturing or repair, preferably in the Aviation, Space and Defense (ASD) industry.
  • English spoken and written.
  • EASA Part 145 Certifying Staff Member (when authorized):
  • Have a minimum of 6 months relevant component maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period.
  • Are in possession of an appropriate aircraft maintenance license or a personal authorization that is valid for the period that the certification authorization to be issued.
  • Have an adequate understanding of the relevant components to be maintained together with the associated organisation procedures.
