Mission: 

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. This role involves proactive monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing security measures to prevent future breaches. The Cyber Security Analyst works closely with IT teams and other departments to ensure the highest level of security.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Continuously monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Analyse security alerts and logs to identify potential threats, anomalies, and vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Document incidents, responses, and lessons learned, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Conduct threat analysis and provide actionable intelligence to protect the organization.
  • Perform and manage regular vulnerability assessments.
  • Identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Recommend and implement technical mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to design and implement secure systems and processes.
  • Liaise with external partners, vendors, and regulators on security matters.
  • Compile and present security metrics reports based on KPIs, KGIs and technical compliance.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of security processes and tools.
  • Recommend and implement security enhancements to improve the enhance overall security posture.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Microsoft Security suite and endpoint protection.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Experience with network security, application security, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (SOC ,PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
