Cyber Security Consultant

Permanent opportunity offering up to £90 000

Role will be be onsite 4-5 Days a week at Helensburgh

WHAT WILL YOU DO?


You are going to be a Cyber Risk Transformation Specialist and will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients in enhancing their cyber risk management capabilities through strategic transformation initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber risk, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and transformation methodologies specifically in the Naval and Maritime Arena.


-Collaborate with clients to assess their current cyber risk posture, identify gaps, and develop tailored transformation strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

-Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive cyber risk transformation programs, including governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and controls.

-Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on cyber risk management strategies, emerging threats, and regulatory compliance requirements.

-Drive organisational change by fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and resilience across all levels of the organisation.

-Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and risk management, to align cyber risk transformation initiatives with business objectives and priorities.

-Develop and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to educate stakeholders on cyber risk management principles and best practices.

-Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to cybersecurity and integrate relevant insights into transformation strategies


WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL?


-Ideally, you will have 5-10 years background in Navy and maritime environments

-Proven track record of leading successful cyber risk transformation initiatives within complex

organisations, preferably in maritime consulting or advisory roles.

-In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory

requirements.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex cyber risks, develop actionable insights,

and articulate recommendations to stakeholders.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with

diverse and very senior stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

-Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple

initiatives simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
