Job Description
Our client is looking for a Cyber Security Manager to lead their Security Operations Centre and protect the organisation from cyber threats. As the Cyber Security Manager, youll oversee digital security activities, provide guidance during cyber incidents, and facilitate strategic dialogue with the leadership team. Youll also lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while managing security budgets and delivering the right solutions for customers.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Cyber Security management, with a strong people-focused background, and experience managing a 24x7 shift team. Certifications like CISSP and GSOM are preferred, as well as knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and experience in Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud environments.
What will you be doing as a Cyber Security Manager?
Implement the strategy and roadmap for the Security Operations Centre within the business and provide support to stakeholders to ensure the business is secure and compliant
Lead, coach, develop and build a high-performing team of SOC Analysts
Develop and manage security budgets, including procurement of solutions and services
Identify and reduce cyber risk while ensuring operational compliance
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure critical systems are resilient to Cyber Threats
Monitor Cyber Security risks within the supply chain of the group
Lead the SOC team to ensure a risk-based security approach is delivered
What experience do you need as a Cyber Security Manager?
5+ years of experience in Cyber Security management, ideally in Telecoms or Energy sector organizations
People-focused with strong leadership skills
Security Management Certifications such as CISSP, GSOM
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
Expert understanding of security design aspects of infrastructure, application, web, and cloud technologies
Track record of delivering business benefits while balancing the need for protection
Excellent people, communication, and diplomacy skills
Experience in Microsoft Azure & AWS Cloud environments
Previous experience with CREST accreditation
