Are you an experienced Cyber Security Researcher looking for a new challenge in the National Security sector? Our client is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Researcher to join their team and work on exciting projects with clients in government agencies and defence organizations.
Our client is looking for tinkerers who are passionate about exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in Cyber Security. Individuals who are curious and driven to understand the inner workings of complex technology and can apply that understanding to Cyber Security.
Key responsibilities:
Present security research to technical and non-technical audiences.
Write clear research reports.
Have a broad technical, research, and software development background.
Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide recommendations.
Dependent on your seniority you can also:
Lead teams in technical research.
Build customer relationships and engage with stakeholders.
Requirements:
Tools:
Skilled in reverse engineering using IDA Pro or Ghidra.
Knowledge of debugging with gdb, binary exploitation, and code injection.
Proficiency in programming, prototyping, or toolmaking using Python, C, or bash.
Experience with protocol analysis using Wireshark or fuzzing with AFL.
Models:
Experience with malware or firmware analysis and reverse engineering.
Experience in vulnerability analysis and/or exploit development.
Knowledge of systems engineering and security models.
Understanding of network architectures, protocol analysis or binary file format engineering.
Desirables:
Degree in relevant technical subject
Background within Academia (especially research-based)
