Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.
Overview of role
As an Environmental Services Analyst you will be responsible for, the continual delivery of services, support, maintenance, and assisting in projects in relation to our system/software environments.
Operating as part of a team of environmental service analysts you will be delivering related services and supporting the underpinning applications in the portfolio as well as ensuring services are continually developed & improved.
You will be expected to work as a Team to ensure that an effective support service is provided across the portfolio, ensuring that we have sufficient base knowledge in other systems to do this.
As an Environment Services analyst you will have specific technical knowledge in environmental software management and significant experience managing and troubleshooting technical issues.
Key Accountabilities
- Technically proficient with managing and supporting system/software environments and all associated technologies.
- Guide and manage updates of those environments, and associated technologies, to keep the product in line with Microsoft guidelines.
- Assist in requirements gathering and provides design guidance for mid to large sized system environment projects.
- Jointly responsible for managing, development, customizations, and integrations to meet the business needs within those environments.
- Review design proposals and provide technical direction, including recommendations on the best technical route to meet these business requirements.
- You must be able to successfully communicate information to both internal and external teams.
- Participate with implementation delivery teams to develop a solution proposal that includes scope, assumptions, implementation plan, and technology solution options to meet project goals as well as longer term needs.
- Maintain knowledge of third-party software vendors to leverage complementary offerings and effectively compare solutions.
- Provide current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents.
- Provide additional technical support, as required, for other solutions within the application portfolio.
- Continually update supporting documentation within the application portfolio.

The Right Person
• 3+ years’ experience of managing system/software environments.
• Strong D365FO security and environments experience
• Experience implementing/configuring/updating software/system environments.
• Proven ability to create innovative solutions to solve complex business requirements, and streamline/automate business processes.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organisational, interpersonal, communication skills.
• Creation of Functional and Technical Specifications documentation for improvement projects including specifications for configuration changes, data migration, and system integrations.
• Building and configuring of business workflows.
• Schedules work to be done and follows up to ensure completion within deadlines.
