As a Barclays Data Analytical Configuration Analyst, you will be responsible for tracking findings and actions identified through testing and ensuring they are included within risk assessments. This involves ensuring any anomalies are reported and managed timely, ensuring Financial Crime policy and regulatory risks are known and managed. You will also have the opportunity to perform filter testing across multiple screening applications and assist with compiling filter testing results, reporting the output to Senior Management.

What will you be doing?

Taking responsibility for arranging walkthroughs and obtaining sign-off of all documentation from Operations, Financial Crime and Business Units


Producing documentation detailing the output from testing activities, acting as primary contact for Screening Configuration and Algorithm setting queries


Ensuring testing activities are conducted in accordance with Global Financial Crime Policy and Standards


Maintaining detailed awareness of, and promoting throughout the organization, any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations, standards and codes of good practice


Providing analysis and information to support Financial Crime and Policy Owners to make key risk decisions


Being responsible for contributing to the preparation of Risk Assessments, drawing on experience and knowledge


Developing effective working relationships with risk owners, control owners and senior management

What we’re looking for

Someone who can demonstrate support of the testing of Financial Crime Screening applications


A team player who can work effectively both with their own team and with others in the Sanctions department


Ability to display capabilities of finding resolutions to issues in a timely manner, confident in taking ownership of an issue and executing the techniques to deliver a solution


An analytical colleague with quantitative skills to support department and work with a diverse range of colleagues across multiple sites

Skills that will help you in the role

Excellent working knowledge of Financial Crime Screening and related regulations


Applied working knowledge of SWIFT and XML payment messages

Where will you be working?

The Bournemouth Wealth Office is located between Bournemouth and Poole with Sandbanks beach no more than 500 metres from the front door. We have a significant number of restaurants and sports clubs locally which make this a great office to work in. We work very closely with our BUK colleagues and share the growing Barclays Eagle Lab on site. This creates significant interest across the region and provides an opportunity for the teams to get together regularly.
