What you'll be doing:
We're looking for a Data Analyst / Power Apps developer to join us who can support the team as we put into action new tools, technologies and techniques to meet Thames Water's current and future challenges.
This role has two key responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing process automations using Microsoft Power Platform applications (mainly Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Bi) in support of the Operation business. You will take ownership of the maintenance of our existing Power Apps, and development of new Power Platform solutions in response to Operations Business needs. You will use agile methodologies to ensure rapid release of high-quality products that add value to Thames Water.
  • Data quality and governance across the Operations Data, Capacity and Insight team. You will promote collaboration and best practice in information management across the team using MS Teams and SharePoint, and help the team ensure compliance with company information security policy and Data Protection regulations, such as GDPR
Typical tasks include developing and maintaining Power Apps; recommending process improvements; developing and promoting SharePoint and MS Teams; developing standards, procedures, and guidelines; and supporting the team with issues relating to information security.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Canvas PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint
  • You should have a logical and critical mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Good understanding of business processes,
  • Developed communication and engagement skills; you will work with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver efficiency improvements
  • You will have a degree or equivalent within an analytical field (e.g. Science, Maths, Business, Geographical disciplines) or proven industry experience.
  • Ability to use your own initiative to organise and prioritise workload
