About the Role
The role focuses on designing data architectures to meet technical and business needs, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and create efficient solutions.
Responsibilities include setting technical standards, guiding implementation, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Developing, designing, and govern the overall structure, framework, and architecture of data workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth
- Collaborating with stakeholders and development teams to gather and analyze requirements, understanding functional and non-functional needs to inform architectural decisions
- Evaluating and select appropriate technologies, tools, frameworks, and methodologies best suited for the software's development, considering factors such as performance, security, and maintainability.
- Defining and establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across software development projects
- Creating comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and guidelines, facilitating understanding and implementation for development teams
- Researching industry advancements and building alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities
- Define data standards, policies, and best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and governance.
- Design and implement scalable and robust data models, databases, and data integration solutions to meet business requirements.
Requirements
- Have a decade of Data and/or Software Engineering experience
- Have excellent experience in one or more of the following platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure Fabric, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift
- Experience in designing and creating scalable, maintainable, high-performing data architectures for complex data workflows
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing data architectures and workflows, understanding medallion architecture and data warehousing principles, and integrating with various external services through APIs, Delta Sharing and classical solutions such as sFTP
- and APIs
- Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Have experience in working closely with engineering teams, driving through engineering best practices as well as managing change through modernization
