As our Data Engineer, you will be the backbone of our customers' data operations, and you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising the pipelines that drive our customers' business analytics. Your mission is to ensure that our data flows smoothly and securely from source to destination, enabling us to extract valuable insights and inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable data pipelines to support ongoing data processing requirements.
  • Manage database operations, including performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and integrate data from various sources into a cohesive data warehouse.
  • Uphold data quality and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data for end-users.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and scientists, to meet the company's data needs.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and implement new technologies to improve data reliability and processing.
  • Craft comprehensive documentation to support the data infrastructure and guide users.

You will need

To excel in this position, you need to bring the following:

Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, as well as NoSQL databases. This is required.
  • Some experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
  • Strong understanding of ETL techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Salary: £35,000
