Eames is currently partnered with a global insurer that is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to join their Transformation team and take ownership of their greenfield Azure data platform.
This is a London-based hybrid role. You’ll be required to work in the office once a week. The company is offering circa £100,000, depending on experience, plus bonuses and benefits.
The role:
- Lead the team in delivering the successful transformation of the data analytics environment to support the delivery of the Underwriting function's strategic agenda.
- Establish and deliver a clear roadmap for creating a robust data engineering infrastructure to ensure commercial and strategic success for the business.
- Develop and maintain automated ETL data pipelines to drive efficiency in the new TOM using Azure and DataBricks technologies.
- Translate data analytics into a format for presentation to senior division members.
The candidates:
- Experience of managing teams and/or projects with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the application of Data Engineering within the Insurance sector (could be a data-focused Actuary going down the Data Engineering route or a Data Engineer with commercial insurance experience)
- Command of Python and SQL.
- Experience with the Databricks platform.
