Our public sector client is looking for a number of Data Migration Analysts to join the team and help as they migrate their data from legacy systems. You will be responsible for helping carry out the data extraction work from the legacy systems, mapping and extraction of data in required formats and liaising with stakeholders to understand and address any data which fails to meet migration standards.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of migration principles, in particular migration of social care systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adults and/or Children’s Services process and procedures and the likely related statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience with writing database extracts, analysing tables and writing extraction procedures in a variety of technologies e.g OraclePL/SQL, experience of writing database extracts, analysing tables and writing extraction procedures, specifically Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Good understanding of source control principles and version
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of working in IT projects and ability to contribute to and/or manage relevant documentation (RAID, migration scope etc)
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and to produce high-quality written reports summarising data, complex issues, and risks. Nice to have.

Desirable

  • Extensive experience of social care case management and finance migrations with an excellent understanding of finance data issues, forms and workflows - with the ability to analyse, interpret and advise on the reconciliation of those issues.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders from a variety of audiences and technical understanding (eg be able to translate complex migration issues for non-technical people)
  • High level of competence in the use of IT systems; able to self-teach and assist / mentor others in the use of IT systems and processes in relation to data migration
