Job Description

An instantly recognisable name in the Entertainment Industry is looking for a Data Privacy Lawyer for a 12 month maternity cover contract - working on an ambitious range of technology and digital data assignments.


Collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders, you will be helping to deliver transformational business products that comply with international privacy and data protection laws.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Providing privacy and data protection advice to the business, with a particular focus on worldwide data driven initiatives

· Guiding global technology teams on how best to ensure data protection by design and default is baked into the design, build, test and deployment stages of all of their activities

· Carrying out data protection impact assessments and provide solutions to mitigate data privacy risks

· Overseeing data protection audits and reviews

· Recommending successful compliance strategies and leading on their roll-out

· Assisting with international data transfer and data processing agreements with vendors and other third parties; and providing data privacy advice to contract negotiations where relevant

· Delivering data privacy staff training to all entities and affiliates, with a particular focus on digital data uses

· Writing and updating data privacy and data protection policies

· Overseeing the development and implementation of data privacy compliance activities, including monitoring and record keeping, breach notification logs and records of processing activities

To be considered, you should be legally qualified, and have a data privacy or data protection qualification. You will have extensive hands-on experience addressing a variety of data privacy and data protection issues, ideally from working in a multi-national organization with c.4yrs+* in a data privacy and data protection focused role, with a detailed knowledge of EU and UK GDPR, PECR and CCPA, CPRA and a good understanding of other and evolving data privacy regulations applying in the rest of the world.
