We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis!

Our Data Governance and Quality team is looking for an inquisitive and reliable Data Quality Analyst who has excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills. You will play a key role in growing BSI’s Data Quality capability to improve how it profiles, analyses and improves the overall quality of its data. You will also help to establish effective data quality monitoring, create visualisations through dashboards and support the resolution of data related issues.

The majority of this role will be home-based, while attendance to our Chiswick or Milton Keynes offices will be on a business needs basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify innovative solutions to improve the underlying quality and accuracy of BSI’s data in its source systems.

  • Analyse, match, merge and enrich data sets across all domains and work with third parties to improve the overall quality of BSIs data.

  • Identify and support deep dive data quality projects to identify baseline data quality.

  • Work with Central Data Stewards to identify and agree data quality rules and integrate into the enterprise data catalogue, as well as implement process, training and system changes.

  • Create high-quality documentation, detailing data lineage, transformation rules, data sources and business processes used in delivering analysis.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstratable experience working in a data quality / data analysis essential.

  • Up to date proven experience of data quality and business intelligence tooling such as Python, MDM Solutions and Excel, as well as writing complex SQL queries to interrogate relational databases.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver a project plan through to execution by defining clear objectives, scope and deliverables.

  • Understanding of how to present and visualise data quality analysis to stakeholders.

  • Appreciation of the wider data lifecycle, and how your role relates to other colleagues such as System Owners and Data Champions, and to the overall business operation.
