Job Title: Data Quality Analyst

Location: London, Hanger Lane

Salary: Competitive

Full time/Permanent/Hybrid

Role Description

Working as part of the central team, the role involves providing support for new services, advising on the configuration and setup of components as well as reviewing and analysing data and processing for established projects. The primary office location will be based in Hanger Lane.

The main elements of the role include: -


  • Assessing the quality-of-service data processing and delivery
  • Developing and using tools for reviewing and reporting on data correctness
  • Ensuring system set up and configuration meet requirements.
  • Reporting concisely on problems and assisting with analysis and corrections


Role Responsibilities:

  • Understand overall architecture and function of Kantar Audience Measurement systems.
  • Develop functional knowledge of individual components.
  • Understand Television and Internet audience measurement research data.
  • Reviewing and assessing data inputs and outputs against service requirements
  • Understand & document component configuration requirements specific to services.
  • Contribute to developing tools and processes for checking and working with audience data.
  • Working with service and central teams in following up and resolving identified issues


Role Requirements

This section is broken down into essential and desirable skills and experience. Whilst the expectation is that much knowledge for the role will develop as part of it – a fundamental level of experience and technical knowledge is required to facilitate that.


Required

  • A methodical & logical approach to problem solving and issue analysis.
  • Comprehensive literacy with technology; awareness of technical tools, cloud, data warehouse and reporting
  • Ability to work well in sometimes pressured environments.
  • Experience of working with data processing systems / tools
  • Communication skills - ability to convey information to technical and non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way.
  • Technical skills (minimum)
  • Linux command line/shell scripting
  • Database and SQL knowledge
  • Python skills (basic/intermediate)
  • Solid experience with Office tools – Excel in particular


Desirable

  • Experience working with technical staff (including offshore staff)
  • Technical skills: Scripting, Linux command line, Database query languages, Hive and BI Tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Cloud based environments and processing (e.g. Azure), Storage Explorer etc.
  • Experience with abstract data concepts – e.g. audience measurement data.
