Job Description
The DQ Analyst reports to the Data Quality Digital Core Lead and will be responsible for supporting and reinforcing the Global DQ strategy and adherence to the DQ process during the transition to the new Digital Core platform. They will work with Data Champions, Data Governance Leads, and Digital Core MD Engagement Lead to understand Data standards, Business Rules and Digital Core Requirements and implement agreed data checks, transformations, and migrations of Master Data required for Digital Core.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in IT, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in Master Data Management and Data Analysis.
- Has experience in working in a complex multi-national corporate environment.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams including: the Data Champions, Data Governance Leads, Digital Core MD Engagement Lead and Regional Data Stewards, etc.
- Detail analysis is needed to identify opportunities (trends) in the data that will trigger data cleansing activities.
- Being able to engage the business in cleansing activities.
- Strong background in SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services or similar ETL/DQ tools.
- Good understanding of Data Models
- Good practical knowledge in MS SQL and SAP ECC
- Good understanding / practical use of ML solutions
- Proficient in writing and oral communications
What will be your key responsibilities?
Liaising with Data Champions, Data Governance Leads and Digital Core MD Engagement Lead –to identify and translate standards (Governance) into DQ rules, including business requirement, testing, rollout, training etc. With the objective to provide high quality master data for Digital Core project.
- Engage with the business functional team to identify required data quality improvements
- Actively influence and support the global set of tools, frameworks, and processes to implement data quality.
- Build DQ rules and Tools required to identify and clean data to support Digital Core / ERP project
- Drive projects for large-scale cleansing of data where required.
- Build additional DQ rules and/or Tools specific to Digital Core project if required
- Help DQ Lead & Digital Core project leads in root cause analysis related to Master data.
- Manage conflict where DQ requirements of the project do not meet agreed standards and escalate conflict to Digital Core Engagement Lead if required
- Provide development specifications to DQ DevOps Team and manage delivery through AGILE process (JIRA)
- Perform root cause analysis and develop/implement fixes
- Execute test cases and verify test results to validate mass cleansing routines.
- Document and keep up to date Data Quality related assets in Mars Data Wiki
