An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Analyst to join our Energy Systems Team.

As a Reporting Analyst for connections, you will support the Lead Compliance Analyst to ensure the provision of accurate and timely regulatory submissions to Ofgem. You will also be accountable for the extraction and validation of connections data in preparing of all regulatory returns.

Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will:


•Supporting the timely production of regulatory reporting information

•Collaboration with colleagues in other business areas to determine project information

•Maintaining accurate data on the connections projects within the connections systems.

•Support with data extraction and validation routines

•Coordination of the cancellation of projects which are outside of project milestones.

•Data assurance routines in line with Ofgem process.

•Development of reports within both the PowerBi and CRM Oracle reporting tools

•Management of existing reports within both the PowerBi and CRM Oracle reporting tool


Key Competencies


•Creation of analytical reports using tools like Power Bi

•Validation of data to aid decision making processes

•Utilising reporting software to improve outputs

•Strong planning and organisation skills to ensure timely submission of information

•Collaborative work with cross functional teams

•Maintain data models and reporting systems


Qualifications and Attributes


Essential Qualifications and Experience


•GCSE Grades 9 – 4 or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.

•Educated to A-Level or equivalent

•Strong IT skills including the use of Microsoft applications specifically Word, Excel, and Visio

•Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to details

•Excellent communication skills both written and spoken

•Experience in the creation of analytical reports using tools like Power Bi

•Experience in the validation of data to aid decision making processes

•Experience in maintaining data models and reporting systems


Desirable Qualifications and Experience


•NVQ Level 4 or HNC

•A strong understanding of the legislation associated with the connections business

A comprehensive knowledge of the Electricity Industry, with a good understanding of connections activities, the Connections Market and the Regulatory platform
