Job Description

Who we are looking for

A Database Warehouse Team Leader, who will implement the changes and improvements required within the ETL and data warehouse products.


You will be delivering items from large scale changes linked to Business transformative programmes, to minor improvements requested by a single user. You will also be liaising with other departments ensuring a high quality of work, whilst always looking to improve the performance of the data warehouse, to satisfy the ever changing demands of the Business.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.


Preferred skills and experience

  • Commercial experience working with ETL and data warehouse platforms.
  • Ability to lead a team of highly technical developers.
  • Line management experience of small to medium sized teams.
  • Knowledge of relational set based processing through complex SQL queries.
  • Commercial experience of Ab Initio.
  • Awareness of cloud technologies, specifically Google and BigQuery.
  • Committed and flexible with a can do attitude towards work.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Main Responsibilities

  • Acting as a line manager for the data warehouse development team.
  • Managing, prioritising and monitoring team work streams.
  • Developing processes and standards for Ab Initio ETL product.
  • Managing the BigQuery database platform.
  • Gaining an intimate and detailed knowledge of the Business processes and data structures.
  • Developing departmental standards and enforcing the adherence to the development process.
  • Raising all necessary configuration and change requests required for regulatory compliance.
  • Creating and maintaining all relevant documentation.
