Job Description

Demand Planner

Main Objectives:

Plan, schedule, and coordinate finished goods and assemblies through the production cycle.

Collaborate with management to ensure schedules meet customer and company needs.

Expedite internal manufacturing departments as needed.

Operate within a mixed MRP/Lean environment.

Evaluate and report potential problem areas.

Work under general supervision with some independence and occasional consultation with senior peers on specific projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze global customer demand data and generate forecast projections.

Conduct forecast projections for different product families.

Maintain forecast module settings in the ERP system.

Upload and maintain MPS forecasts and data.

Support the SIOP process by gathering necessary data and conducting statistical analysis of Sales, Inventory, and other data.

Create presentations for monthly SIOP meetings to enhance revenue, on-time performance, and inventory forecasting.

Analyze Supply vs. Demand to optimize Supply Chain strategy.

Identify supply and demand issues, propose scenarios for mitigation, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership review.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Abilities:

Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders and partners across various organizational levels and functions.

Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems, particularly demand forecasting and simulation modules.

Proven ability to deliver results through others and influence without formal authority.

Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly grasp and interpret information critical to organizational growth.

Problem-solving abilities in various dynamic situations, even under stress.

Proficiency in data analysis and report generation that accurately reflects the business's status.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Expertise in statistics and data analysis.

Six Sigma and LEAN certification/experience is advantageous.

Willingness to travel globally (up to 10% travel required).

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

Experience/Certification:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Customer demand and production control planning.

Preferred: SIOP Certification, APICS certification, Change Management/ADKAR training.

Special Skills:

Proficiency in utilizing an ERP system; Glovia knowledge is beneficial.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power BI, Power Point, and Outlook.

Experience leading demand teams using statistical data to improve customer forecast accuracy and optimize inventory.
