Hours: 30 hours per week

Days: Monday – Thursday

Salary: £39,547 – £42,753 (pro-rata) per annum, dependent on experience

(WTE Range: £49,434 – £53,442 per annum)

Plus: Employer Contributed Pension

We are the local representative body for general practice and provide support to GPs and their teams in Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Bath & North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Jersey and Guernsey. The LMC also works with a number of other organisations to ensure that the interests of our constituents are represented and heard. Our purpose is supporting the best general practice for our communities.

The NHS landscape is facing significant challenge and change which is likely to be further influenced by the impending general election. The lack of real terms investment in general practice over a number of years has seen practices having to make some difficult decisions on how they continue to provide high quality services to their patients. Wessex LMCs is here to support practices through these challenging times and beyond.

With this in mind, we are looking to recruit to the post of Deputy Director of Primary Care. You will be part of highly regarded and motivated team, helping support and advise our practices on a wide range of issues.

We are looking for applicants who have recently worked/are working in general practice or in commissioning of general practice services. Applicants should have a good understanding of the various general practice Regulations particularly relating to GMS/PMS Contracts, Directed and Local Enhanced Services (DES/LES).

The Deputy Director of Primary Care will be based with our team at our offices in Chandler’s Ford, with an opportunity to work remotely on Mondays.
