E.C. Ellis has partnered with a leading Educational Group who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Head of Finance to join their welcoming team. You will play a key leadership role, overseeing the finance business partnering function and leading a team to deliver a comprehensive, high-quality financial service.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage the Business Partnering team, providing expert financial support and guidance to budget managers across the institution.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop the annual budget and medium-term financial plan.
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, and annual statements.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and lead on the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance and represent the Group at meetings with external stakeholders.
You will be a great fit if you have:
- A CCAB (ICAEW / ACCA / CIPFA) or CIMA qualification.
- Significant experience in financial management, ideally within the education sector.
- Strong management accounting and financial accounting skills.
- Experience in producing annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
