Deputy Head of Science - Barking and Dagenham
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Head of Science for an ambitious Science teacher seeking to further their career in our Barking and Dagenham School.
Our schoolis an established school with a good reputation and a strong sense of community spirit and ambition for our pupils to truly advance in life and personal development.
We are seeking a fully-qualified, committed and inspirational Deputy Head of Science with a proven track record of success in teaching Chemistry or Biology at a high standard. This post will also require overseeing the aspect of KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum, mentoring NQTs and supporting other teachers to become outstanding.
We would like to meet experienced practitioners who are either currently working as Deputy Head of Science or have good experience as a Science coordinator and is ready to take their career to the next level.
Science is a strong, successful and innovative department achieving excellent results at all key stages. The department is very well resourced with suites of computers and high quality technician support. Staff will be teaching in their own fully equipped laboratories with interactive whiteboard.
We have achieved good GCSE results for the school in the last year and seeking to build on our achievement and aim for 70% A* to C with very positive progress 8. We believe that the achievement and well-being of our students should be at the heart of everything we do.
