Deputy Home Manager (Residential Care)
Salary: £30,500 - £34,700
Hours per week: 40, including alternative weekends

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting the delivery of high-quality and personalised care of a small number of residents requiring specialist dementia and general care. You will ensure their individual needs are met while fostering a safe, caring, stimulating, and homely environment. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding regulatory compliance and operational excellence to enhance the overall well-being of residents.
Qualifications
- Hold an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or above
- Possess proven experience in a senior care position, preferably within a residential care setting
- Demonstrate strong leadership and management capabilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring a team towards excellence
- Exhibit exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Have proficient knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in care provision
- Uphold a compassionate and empathetic approach in interactions with residents and their families

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Home Manager to oversee the overall management of the care home, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices
- Provide effective leadership and support to a team of care staff, portraying a positive role model while fostering a cohesive and motivated working environment
- Coordinate the delivery of tailored, person-centered care, ensuring the holistic needs of residents are comprehensively addressed
- Manage the day-to-day operations, encompassing staff scheduling, recruitment, and training to maintain optimal staffing levels and skill competencies
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders, promoting an inclusive and engaging community environment
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of personalized care plans and risk assessments, ensuring continuous monitoring and adaptation as required
- Monitor and optimize the quality and efficacy of care services, proactively seeking avenues for continuous improvement and enhanced resident outcomes
