Housekeeper Team leader | London East | Permanent | Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | Ilford

We now have an opportunity for a Housekeeper Team leader to join our team here at Spire London East Hospital. This perfect opportunity for someone with supervisory or team lead experience in Housekeeping to take the next step in their career. This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis.

Shift patterns will vary from 7am start time to 9pm finish time.

You will manage and provide leadership to the housekeeping team to ensure we are delivering a fist class service to patients. Conducting weekly audits of patient rooms to drive continuous improvement in standards. Ensuring the highest quality of cleanliness is provided to patients, their visitors, and consultants.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To manage the staff within Housekeeping, and ensure they meet their competencies and e-learning training
  • To improve and maintain the standard of Housekeeping Services for patients and staff.
  • To provide the highest possible standard of Housekeeping through staff management and effective resource control. Ensure that all legislative regulations regarding hygiene, health & safety, COSHH, risk management, quality documentation are fully complied with.

Who we're looking for:

  • Someone with experience as a manager / team leader within Housekeeping
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience of auditing services provided.
  • Experience of managing / maintaining records for regulatory inspections (EHO; HSE; Healthcare Commission).
