The Role

As a Deskside Support Engineer, you will be providing technical assistance and support to our UK-based employees. You must possess a strong background in IT support, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support to end-users in the UK, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing and resolving technical problems, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Set up and configure new user accounts and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to company policies and security protocols.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Document all support activities, solutions, and procedures to maintain accurate records and knowledge base.
  • Assist in IT projects and initiatives as needed, including software deployments, hardware upgrades, and system migrations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools, systems, and best practices.


Your Profile

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Proven experience in desktop support or similar role, with a strong understanding of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.


Good to have:

  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience working in an ITIL environment is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
