Job Description

Are you ready to join an expanding Property Team with a wealth of development opportunities? My client is searching for a proactive Development Asset Surveyor/Manager to lead the charge in advancing development projects and enhancing our extensive portfolio of forecourts and branded "on the go" restaurants.


About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Property Director, taking the helm in identifying development prospects, navigating sites through planning processes, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of site delivery. Your primary objective will be to revitalize and modernize our vast portfolio of over 1,000 sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a strong pipeline of new / re-developments annually.
  • Conduct site due diligence and development appraisals.
  • Secure planning permissions and negotiate planning and highways agreements.
  • Manage project budgets and fees efficiently.
  • Review designs, implement value engineering strategies, and oversee building tenders.
  • Coordinate with key consultants and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.


Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in development delivery.
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering development projects, with a comprehensive understanding of planning and construction processes.
  • Experience in estates or asset management is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in building cost control and value engineering is essential.
  • Must hold a full clean driving license.
  • Field based with 1 day in the office in Hertfordshire.
